Joseph Carringer is a professional didgeridoo musician and sound therapist with 20 years of didgeridoo playing experience. His work as a didgeridoo musician and sound therapist has taken him everywhere from the jungles of Peru, the beaches of Jamaica and to the big sky country of Montana. In his sound therapy practice he uses concert class didgeridoos combining Traditional Chinese Medicine organ and meridian theory with Ayurvedic Chakra philosophies to create a unique and powerful therapeutic sound healing experience.
Joseph presents and performs both nationally and internationally on mind/body connection and the effects of didgeridoo sound therapy for the purposes of clearing energetic and emotional stagnation within the energetic body to wellness and healthy lifestyle seekers, as well as to medical and holistic professionals. His sound therapy practice has been accepted by multiple major hospitals as an integrative wellness provider including; Maine Medical Center (Portland, ME), Wentworth Douglas Hospital (Dover, NH) and University of Pittsburgh Medical Center / UPMC (Pittsburgh PA).
At the beginning of Joseph’s sound therapy career he collaborated with various forms of holistic health modalities such as; acupuncturists, chiropractors, massage therapists, integrative gynecologist an holistic nurses receiving what amounted to a well rounded holistic health apprenticeship and education. It is Joseph's goal to help people realign their bodies' natural rhythms on a cellular level through didgeridoo sound therapy. He believes that through this work, people can achieve a greater sense of natural health and open doors for a higher sense of creativity and consciousness. He feels a deep natural connection with the healing of our planet and ourselves.
